Casualties and Other Incidents

Use the following dashboard to access data related to Casualties. Data is available by Type of Person, Type of Incident, State, Railroad, and more.

  • Use the filters on the right-hand side to drill down by Railroads, Geography, Time Frame, Type of Person, Type of Incident, Fatal vs. Non-Fatal and Occupational Illnesses, and/or Job Code. 

  • To view the data at various levels, select the appropriate Dimension (Railroad, State, Injury, Event, Primary Location, Type of Person, etc.) from the Dimension dropdown. 
  • To download data from the dashboard, click on the chart or table you wish to download, then select "Download" from the bottom right hand side. Then, choose the desired format. Selecting "Crosstab" will download the data as a .csv file. 
  • To download full Casualty data as reported by Railroads, click here.
