On September 18, 2017, the City of Ann Arbor and the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) in coordination with the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) released the draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Ann Arbor Station project.

The proposed project is for the construction of a new intermodal station, platform, and parking within the City of Ann Arbor and supports both the existing and planned expansion of the Amtrak intercity service between Detroit/Pontiac, MI and Chicago, IL. It also supports proposed regional commuter rail service between Detroit and Ann Arbor.

The environmental document has been prepared to comply with federal environmental laws and regulations as well as Michigan state requirements.  The EA is available for review online at a2gov.org/annarborstation. A physical copy will be available for review beginning the morning of Tuesday, September 19, at the Ann Arbor City Clerk’s office, located on the second floor 301 E. Huron St. and the reference desk at Ann Arbor District Library’s downtown branch located at 343 S. 5th Ave.
