Focused Public and Stakeholder Engagement: Fall 2018 – Winter 2019
In Fall 2018, FRA and the Project Proponents initiated a public and stakeholder engagement action plan to help ensure that stakeholders remained well-informed and engaged from Public Meeting #4 to the DEIS public hearing. The public and stakeholders were engaged through briefings or having a presence at various events listed in the table below. Depending on the event, representatives of FRA or the Project Proponents were available to talk about the Project or answer questions. Additionally, USRC arranged for an informational fact sheet about the Project to be deposited at various locations, including Gallaudet University, George Washington University, 27 District public libraries, and Georgetown Law School. USRC distributed the same fact sheet and the Capitol Hill and NoMA BID rest stops during Bike-to-Work Day.
