After considering comments received from the public following the March 2018 public meeting and other public engagement events, stakeholder and agency input, and preliminary environmental studies, FRA and the Project Proponents identified several issues with the five Action Alternatives (Alternatives A, B, C, D, and E) requiring further refinement. FRA and the Project Proponents found that combining elements of Alternatives A and C (Alternative A-C) would best address the issues. FRA and the Project Proponents have identified Alternative A-C as the Preferred Alternative. This alternative will be evaluated in the Environmental Impact Statement along with the five Action Alternatives previously retained for analysis that FRA presented to the public in March 2018.
